We appreciated the warm greeting from Tina, the owner, who provided us with great tips for things to do and see in the area. Liberty Lodge felt like a real home away from home, and we highly recommend it as a base for exploring the Forest of Dean. Cons: Nothing, all was good! 😊.

The location allows for great walks, with two nearby eateries within a 10-minute walk. Only three lodges are rented out, making it quieter. The lodge is in excellent condition, very clean, and has plenty of bedding. The owners are welcoming and provide useful information.

The location was fantastic, with easy access to local attractions like Symonds Yat and Tintern Abbey. The hosts, Tina and Steve, made the check-in and check-out process smooth and enjoyable. The secure and gated parking area was a great feature. it felt like a real home away from home.

One of the beds was too soft for my liking, although my children didn't seem to mind. I would have preferred a firmer mattress since I'm used to it at home.
